USEFUL AND INTERESTING WEBSITES S

With this post I am starting a new blog series called Useful And Interesting Websites. I am constantly finding websites that I’d like to share. This particular post will list sites starting with “S”.

My plan for this series is to create a new post for site listings, and each post will be for whatever letter the websites start with. On the blog, this is going to create a “disorder” in how these posts are organized, however I will create an index page where these posts will be listed alphabetically, and I will link to that page in all of these posts.

Let’s get started with the first site recommendation I have below.

SHORPY – Shorpy.com is a vintage photography site featuring thousands of high-definition images from the 1850s to 1950s. The site is named after Shorpy Higginbotham, a teenage coal miner who lived 100 years ago. – Listed on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 @ 2:45 AM CST. – https://www.shorpy.com/

SUMMITPOST – The Premier Mountaineering Website. Definitive resource for mountain info & climbing. This is a website where hikers post photos of beautiful hiking destinations. I often visit this website to see photos of places I’ll never get to go see in person. It’s the next best thing to taking a trip there myself. There are thousands of awesome outdoors photos posted on this website. Listed on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 @ 1:26 AM CST. – https://www.summitpost.org/
