It’s my 4th personal check-in on my blog here at DudeCapz.com, and if this is your first visit to my website and hat shop, welcome, and thank you for stopping by. I am always grateful for every visit.

I have been checking in here on my blog since Sunday, July 4th, 2021, and since that day, my check in posts here serve as my social media because I do not post my content on social media networks other than Twitter. My Twitter posts are generally updates only about this website, and my beanie store. If you would like more information about why I stopped posting on social networks, see CHECKING IN 002.

3:24 AM CST – Up all night, working on this website. I’ve actually gotten quite a few updates done. Always more to do though. I’ve got the munchies… and no I’m not high… I don’t do that shit if you didn’t know.

4:05 AM CST – It’s been on my mind to do it all night, but I haven’t had a chance because I’ve been working on other updates. I need to add some new beanies to my beanie store. I definitely have plenty that I can add… that I need to add. I’ll have to make some time later this evening after I get some rest to do that. So be on the look out for at least one or two new items to be posted tonight.

4:45 AM CST – Ok it’s getting about time for me to call it a night and get out of my studio to go jump in bed. But I was just thinking about adding a visitor guestbook to my website. So I took to Google to search for “online guestbook”, and I was shocked to find out that an old service I used way back in the day… and I do mean way back in the day… like the late 1990’s and early 2000’s called Bravenet Guestbooks is apparently still around. I’m not saying I might try to use that again for this website, but I might… I don’t know right now. I want to browse Google some more and see what else is out there that might be more modern.

6:06 AM CST – I did some more investigating on Google to see if there was another online guestbook service I might try, and well… if I want modern, it’s looking like Bravenet is the closest I’m going to get to that. All of the other guestbook services looked like they haven’t updated their website since 2015 or longer than that. Well it’s time that I shut the internet off and go get some sleep. I shall be back later.

5:15 PM CST – I woke up from sleeping approximately two hours ago at 3:15 PM CST. I’ve been lounging around though, and haven’t really done anything. Sometimes it takes me a couple of hours to find the motivation to move if I don’t have to be anywhere. But now I need to start working on getting some things done.

5:46 PM CST – I’m about to embark on a project that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. There is a website called “Random Art”. It’s a fun website. A user can input a word, phrase, or just a bunch of letters and numbers, and then the website will generate a random digital art image from whatever the user input. I’m going to go through the website and collect all of the images (there’s over 3K of them). The reason I want to do this is because I have in the past seen the website purged of all of the artworks that had been generated. In my opinion that is appalling because the whole project is pretty amazing I think. But I don’t know what the circumstances were that caused the purge to happen. Anyway, I want to save the images because if the website ever goes down permananently, then I’ll have a souviner of sorts. I may even post them in a gallery at some point. I honestly need to be listing some new items in my beanie shop… and I said that I was going to do that earlier today, however, this project is kind of important to me, and so I’ve decided that is what I’m going to do through this evening. While I’m doing that I’m going to hop on YouTube on my 2nd monitor and find some interesting videos to watch and link to.

7:00 PM CST – Ok so I’ve been working steady for about an hour on saving the random art images I mentioned, and I have saved 122 of them out of over 3.3K. At that rate I’m estimating that it’s going to take me a total of around 28 hours to save all of the images. So I’m surely not going to get them all tonight, but I can knock a good chunk out of the work for a few hours at least. There’s definitely plenty of YouTube to keep me entertained while I’m working on this.

8:07 PM CST – I’ve saved 269 images so far.

9:00 PM CST – I’ve been at this project now for about 3 hours and I now have 412 images saved. If you’re reading this and wondering what I’m referring to, it’s this website – http://www.random-art.org/

11:05 PM CST – Been at this project now for about 5 hours. I now have 671 images saved.
