It’s my 5th personal check-in on my blog here at DudeCapz.com, and if this is your first visit to my website and hat shop, welcome, and thank you for stopping by. I am always grateful for every visit.

I have been checking in here on my blog since Sunday, July 4th, 2021, and since that day, my check in posts here serve as my social media because I do not post my content on social media networks other than Twitter. My Twitter posts are generally updates only about this website, and my beanie store. If you would like more information about why I stopped posting on social networks, see CHECKING IN 002.

12:01 AM CST – Up at midnight. Actually I’ve been up since 3:15 PM CST yesterday, and for the past 6 hours I’ve been working on saving some images from a favorite website called Random Art (www.random-art.org), and I’ve been watching remix videos on YouTube. Just chillin’ basically and working on that project to save those images. It’s a project I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. So why not get started on it now right… even though I have some major updates I need to do on my website… all things in due time right!?

12:14 AM CST – A thought just occured to me that my website is starting to grow now, and my tag cloud which was originally intended to show only tags related to my store content has started collecting other tags in the mix because I decided to expand this website to include content related to other interests I have. So a new task is coming upon me to create a specific list of store content tags so that I can put that somewhere on the site for easy navigation of store only content. I’ll get it done as soon as I can.

1:00 AM CST – I’m going strong still at 7 hours now collecting digital art images from random-art.org, and I now have 712 images saved.

1:26 AM CST – I’ve got to get up and get away from my desk for a little while.

2:50 AM CST – Ok after over 8 hours of clicking and saving images from random-art.org, I am officially over it for now (I think). I’ve managed to collected 863 of the images so far. It’s getting late (for me – on my schedule). I need to go lay down in the bed and start working on getting some rest. I have to go buy groceries later this evening so that I can have something to take to work with me at my day (night) job this weekend.

7:27 PM CST – I am up from bed. Actually I’ve been awake and then back to sleep, and then awake again since around 2:00 PM CST today. I wanted to get up early this afternoon so that I could go make my grocery store run and haul off the garbage early in the day, but I wasn’t feeling well. I had a headache and felt very tired… probably from spending all that time last night in front of my laptop. Sometimes the work is what it takes though if you want something done… (and I definitely want those art images saved), and sometimes you have to suffer for it I guess. I took some medicine for the headache awhile ago, and now I’m feeling a little better. It’s starting to get late in the evening now. So I’m going to run my errands that I need to do, and I’ll be back to my home studio in hopefully no more than a couple of hours.

10:30 PM CST – Ok so it took me almost three hours to haul off my garbage and then go buy groceries and some other things I needed… and some things I didn’t actually need but wanted (you know how that goes). The things I didn’t need (but purchased anyway) was a pair of lounge shorts, some knitting looms, and a new set of yarn needles. I also bought a pack of construction paper. I plan to do some sort of “random art” project with that. So I’m back home in my studio now and I’m about to have a late dinner, and then maybe add a new beanie to my DudeCapz Beanie Store.
