It’s my 10th personal check-in on my blog here at DudeCapz.com, and if this is your first visit to my website and hat shop, welcome, and thank you for stopping by. I am always grateful for every visit.

I have been checking in here on my blog since Sunday, July 4th, 2021, and since that day, my check in posts here serve as my social media because I do not post my content on social media networks other than Twitter. HERE IS WHAT’S HAPPENING THROUGHOUT MY DAY TODAY

12:25 AM CST – Good morning! It’s good to be home tonight after my three days at work over this past weekend. I am currently in my home studio. I have some shopping to do online. For what you may ask? I need a new desk lamp. Actually I don’t “need” a new desk lamp. I have a few actually. I want a bigger one. I want one of those desk lamps that are the swinging arm type. One that can be height adjusted. The one on my desk now is a small led lamp, and it puts out decent light, however it sits low on my desk, and it causes a horrible glare on my Remarkable 2 tablet whenever I’m trying to read or write on it. So I’m going to try to find a better lamp that will hopefully resolve that issue for me. The glare is a major distraction from my work when I’m at my desk since I use my Remarkable 2 tablet a lot for notes and task management. Something else I have on my agenda this morning is to add at least one new beanie to my DudeCapz Beanie Store. So I better get to work if I’m going to get anything done.

1:14 AM CST – I’ve learned something tonight while shopping on Walmart’s website. It’s nothing new to me that there are sellers peddling items through Walmart’s product listings (just like on Amazon), but I didn’t know that you can actually check out the ratings and reviews for these 3rd party sellers (at least I’ve never thought about doing it). I’ve just always shopped, purchased, and got my product usually pretty quickly without a hitch. I just got curious tonight, and clicked a link for a seller, when I was shopping for a desk lamp, and there I found reviews about the seller I was looking at during that time. That seller had a 2.3 star rating. I will be fair to say that there were only 2 ratings and reviews for that seller, and perhaps the only reason those 2 ratings and reviews were there were because they had a bad experience, and as a former CSR, I know that a lot of people don’t leave reviews unless they had a bad experience of some sort. With that said, a low rating doesn’t always mean that a seller is not actually doing good business. Sometimes things can go wrong with deliveries, or incorrect pricing, or other things. I just wanted to point this out however in case someone else hasn’t made this realization that you can check reviews for sellers on Walmart’s website. From there, use your own judgement before buying.

4:24 AM CST – Ok so I’ve done some shopping on Walmart and Ebay, and I saw a desk lamp in red color (or even black) that I think I’m going to buy, but I don’t think I’m going to buy it this morning. I’m not in dire need of a new lamp. I just have that glare problem on my Remarkable 2 tablet to deal with that I mentioned before. I’ve been thinking about though, and I’m not sure that another lamp besides the one I already have is going to solve that glare problem. I think I will probably have that problem regardless of what kind of desk lamp I have in my work space. So I’m keeping that money in my pocket for now.

7:23 AM CST – I have found a new toy to play with. It’s intended for creating cross stitch patterns, but I intend to use it for creating digital mosaic art. It’s called Stitchboard. Check it out here –> https://stitchboard.com/

6:15 PM CST – Today has been mostly a lazy one. Of course I slept through today (because I work nights at my day job). I slept in late because I made it to bed late this morning. But I’m up now and getting motivated to make something happen. I forgot to turn on one of the air conditioning units and it got blazing hot in my house today. Thankfully it’s cooling off now with the sun getting ready to go down.
