It’s Saturday, July 24th, 2021 @ 8:01 PM CST, and I am starting a new photo series dedicated to my moon photography.
Yes I know how cliche taking photos of the moon is, but I want to start this series anyway. Why not? Since smartphones have advanced enough to take slightly decent photos of the moon, I thought why not snap some photos of the moon occassionally, especially the full moons.
Tonight just happens to be a full moon. So I think this is a perfect time to start this series. I thought the moon was full last night when I took the photo at the top of this page, but I see the info at MOONGIANT says tonight is the full moon. – https://www.moongiant.com/phase/7/24/2021/
It’s 8:27 PM CST now. Info I found online says the moon will rise at 8:41. I will update this page soon with a photo of tonight’s moon.

Tonight’s full moon is called “Buck Moon”. Info from Almanac: The full Moon in July is called the Buck Moon because the antlers of male deer (bucks) are in full-growth mode at this time. Bucks shed and regrow their antlers each year, producing a larger and more impressive set as the years go by. – https://www.almanac.com/content/full-moon-july
